Deleting and restoring users

Deleting users from a workspace revokes their access to the workspace but does not delete their user account. The user can be added back to the workspace later. Deleting users from the system revokes their system access but does not delete their user account. The user's system access can be restored later.

To delete an existing user account:

Note    After you delete a user from a workspace, their user name remains in the properties and history of any folders or documents for which they are the owner or a modifier.

  1. In the Settings view, expand the name of the workspace from which you want to delete the user, and click User information. A page showing lists of the existing system and workspace users appears.
  2. Select the row of the user account that you want to delete and in the User list section header, click Remove. A confirmation page appears.
  3. Click Yes, delete. The page listing the existing users reappears with the selected user removed.

To restore a deleted user account:

Note    Restoring a user's system access also restores them to the workspaces to which they had access before the user was deleted.

  1. In the Settings view, expand the name of the workspace from which you want to delete the user, and click Deleted users. A page showing lists of the deleted users appears.
  2. From Deleted Users, select the user that you want to restore and click Undelete. A confirmation page appears.
  3. Click Yes, undelete. The page listing the existing users reappears with the selected user removed.
